Ann DavenportAnn Davenport of Davenport Designs - 425-327-6247

Ann is a Pacific Northwest native, born in Seattle, but raised in Lake Stevens, Washington.

Her parents were active, fun people who gave her brother and her, the freedom to explore personal interests and to develop deep work ethics.

As a child she experimented with oils, pencils and pen/ink drawings and soon discovered her great love of creating art.  She has always doodled caricatures, funny little animals or cartoon pictures on any paper surface around and she leaves a trail of them wherever she goes.  Her friends and extended family have always been amused at the cards she sends with doodles all over the envelopes.

She enjoys working from photographs that she takes on her travels, locally and abroad.  Ann carries her camera everywhere she goes.  She captures the beauty around her as her future subjects.  She is available for private commissions.

Ann has studied with a lot of teachers and learned numerous styles of painting, in many different mediums.  She has enjoyed the freedom of doing expansive murals to intricate pen/ink drawings.   She loves a challenge, learning new things and expanding her knowledge of art has been her passion for years.

So far she has learned something valuable from every class she has taken and she hopes to continue to learn new things to enhance her creativity.  Ann is grateful for all the opportunities afforded to her in her life and all the people she has had the privilege to meet, work with and become friends with and hopes to continue the journey of creativity for the rest of her life.

Curt, her husband of 33 years is very supportive of her and encourages her in all her endeavors.  He has always been Ann’s constant inspiration.  This year her goal is to think out of the box.  To try new things.  To take classes she is not comfortable with.  To throw herself out of her comfort zone.  So far, she has learned something valuable from every class she has taken and she is grateful for the opportunity.

Ann’s friends and family have also encouraged her along this long journey.  She appreciates their time and energy, more than they will ever know.
